From the moment we arrived at Sacred Waters Luxury Apartments, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The professionalism and warmth shown by the reception team on both arrival and departure immediately set the tone for a truly memorable stay. 

What made our visit even more meaningful was that we were celebrating my father-in-law’s 80th birthday. One particular staff member went above and beyond to make the occasion feel special. Their genuine kindness, attention to detail, and willingness to add those thoughtful touches turned a simple getaway into a celebration our whole family will remember for years. 

It’s rare to find accommodation where the service feels so sincere and personal. Sacred Waters doesn’t just provide beautiful apartments and a stunning setting they create an experience where guests feel genuinely welcomed and valued. 

Our family is incredibly grateful for the care shown to us during such an important milestone. Thank you for helping make my father-in-law’s 80th birthday so memorable. We look forward to returning in the future.

We had a one night at this beautiful waterfront apartment. We had walked the Tongariro crossing so a bit tired. We went out to dinner at the Brantry, a quick uber trip away. The receptionist was fantastic and met all our needs. We had a pre breakfast morning swim, it was like swimming in a bath, no excuses not to swim in the winter. Easy departure.   

The apartment was modern, light, well equipped and had views of the lake, and they had a cork screw! Would thoroughly recommend this apartment.

A fantastic place to stay. The apartment was awesome, inside and out. First-class views over the lake, perfect to enjoy with a glass of wine. The service from the Concierge was excellent. Couldn't find a fault. Excellent location, five minutes into town and super handy to everything. Highly recommended.

"Just spent 4 nights in the two bedroom penthouse and loved every minute. The views are beautiful, the apartment itself is a really great size and very well equipped . Having a laundry is a bonus after 10 days of travel and it really is a quality property. Access to the lake is perfect for the morning strolls and definitely can’t beat the balcony for sunset drinks. I think it’s worth the price. "

We had a family gathering for 5 days over Christmas and 13 of us stayed in 3 apartments. All the apartments were lovely - spacious, clean, well equipped and the 3 bedroom ones had beautiful lake views. Great location and right on the the lake. The staff were very helpful. The children loved the warm pool.

We had a lovely one night stay here when passing through recently (we didn't book in advance). The staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. Our room was great; spacious, clean, had everything we needed and a beautiful view. The hot tub on the deck was an added bonus. We stay in Taupo a few times a year, and we usually like to try new places. This is one we will definitely return to! Thanks for having us.

The view of lake Taupo was beautiful. The hot tub was a pleasure. The kitchen was spectacular and a pleasure to cook in. The apartment complex is somewhat of a distance to the stores but with a car not a problem. We stayed in a 2 bedroom Apartment with washer and dryer within the accommodation that made it very convenient

"Our trip to Taupo was a bit dampened by wind and rain, but Sacred Waters made the stay fantastic. The manager was outstanding — genuinely welcoming and went above and beyond, even arranging complimentary drinks for us at a local restaurant. 

The apartment was spotless, warm, and had fast Wi-Fi. We only needed one carpark, though two were available which is handy. Bathrobes and pool towels were a great touch, especially for the private hot tub. The heated pool was also lovely, and chatting with other guests we all agreed the hosting was top-notch. 

For a 5-star property, everything felt quality, from the amenities to the service. Only small suggestion would be to improve the coffee provided. 

We were warmly farewelled on departure and can’t wait to return in summer. Highly recommend!"
